About NLU Delhi

National Law University, Delhi is a State University which was established in 2008 and is granted recognition by the University Grants Commission. It is specially approved by the Bar Council of India and is accredited with NAAC Grade A 3.6. According to NIRF current year 2024, In the law category it has a 2nd position ranked in NLU Delhi.


The university courses also comprise BA LLB (Hons), LLM, PhD, and Joint Masters / LLM. The students are also offered the facility of Diploma and Bridge Courses in different specializations in NLU. Admission criteria is especially based on merit score  in the All India Law Entrance Test, which is delivered by the university itself. Student exchange programmes are also represented by NLU Delhi, which enable students to study law at foreign universities. NLU Delhi Facilities
National Law University, Delhi, in its discovery of the capital of India, has put forward a splendid framework for the students on this campus. Some of the university facilities include the following:

Library: The college has T.P.S. Chawla Library a 2 floored building with a well-maintained stock of 37,500 books, 180 current subscriptions to journals and newspapers along with 250 CDs and DVDs. It also subscribes to many online databases of national and international spheres like Westlaw International, LexisNexis Academic, EHart books etc.
Computer Centre: NLU Delhi Campus is Wi-Fi enabled and the computer centre has 50 high-tech desktops with the availability of Microsoft operating systems and is well equipped with optical devices. The centre also facilitates a printing facility. 
Auditorium: The full AC facility of the auditorium with a seating capacity of 650 people. It is used for seminars and Management programmes and career carniwals especially, lectures and cultural activities.
Digital Classroom: NLUD classrooms are equipped with digital podiums, an LCD projector, a display screen, and Wi-Fi to provide a better learning environment for its students.
E-Moot Court Hall: The moot court of the university is fully air-conditioned, fitted with audio-visual facilities, and can accommodate 170 people to help students practice.
Hostel: The Institute offers different hostels for boys and girls. These hostels are equipped with facilities such as A.C., Mess, Security, etc. The NLU Delhi Hostel fee for boys and girls is INR 1.28 Lacs to 6.4 Lacs.
Mess: There is one well-furnished central mess on campus that serves all university students and staff. There is also a separately well-maintained mess at the Girls' and Boys' Hostel.
Transport Facilities: The students are also provided transport facilities to campus and court visits, Legal Aid Programmes and Clinics.
Banks: The institute has an UCO Bank operational from 1-2 pm on certain days of the week, allowing transactions and also has an HDFC ATM facility in the cafeteria.
Sports Facility: NLU Delhi has volleyball and basketball courts. Students are encouraged to use the well-equipped gym in their respective halls of residency.
